This error should only occur on subscriptions, not one-time purchases. It occurs when you try to subscribe to an offer in a currency that is different from your current account's currency. Your account becomes currency locked whenever you have an active subscription or discount. This is a limitation of our payment processor and is not something we're looking to find a workaround for in the near future.
Additionally, this error indicates that the offer you tried to purchase is not available in your account's currency, because our system would have automatically attempted to convert the offer to your account's currency before giving you this error.

- Try to find an equivalent offer in your account's currency.
Although the website displays prices in CAD and USD, depending on what type of purchase you make, you may be able to pay in your local currency. Since we're based in Canada, all currency conversions (when applicable) are done relative to the CAD price.
Note that CAD/USD prices are manually set, they're not automatically converted from another currency. This means that the price you see may not reflect the current exchange rate. Once prices are set in our system, they cannot be changed, even if we wanted to.
One-time Purchases - Adaptive Pricing
In the case of one-time purchases, you'll often be able to pay in your local currency. Make sure to choose "Other" as your currency (located in the top bar header). However, please take note that a currency conversion fee may apply. In some cases, we may have manually set the USD price, which means you won't pay a conversion fee, but the price may not reflect the current exchange rate. In other cases, adaptive pricing may not be available for the offer you're trying to purchase and you'll have to pay in CAD.Subscriptions - CAD, USD only
Accepted currencies for subscriptions depend on which currencies we've enabled for each offer. Since we're based in Canada, CAD will almost always be available. USD is available if we've explicitly enabled it for an offer. Most of the time, we try to enable USD for all subscription offers. Visit the Billing page and click on the "Billing Portal" button. There, you'll see all your active subscriptions. Click on the "Cancel" button of the subscription you want to cancel.

command to view the list of consumables you can redeem and their redeem code. Then, use the /sc redeem <code> [amount]
command in-game to redeem consumable purchases.Entitlements are applied to you automatically by the game server and no action is required on your part. However, if you purchased an entitlement while in-game, you may need to rejoin the server for the entitlement to take effect.
No, canceling your subscription immediately stops the auto-renewal of your subscription. You will still receive the benefits of your subscription until the end of the current subscription period. You can check the timeline of past and upcoming events of your subscription by clicking on the "View timeline" button of a subscription on the Billing page.
No, consumables granted by a subscription expire and resets at the end of each subscription period. Be sure to redeem your consumables before the end of the period.

No, you cannot pause your subscription. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time and resubscribe as much as you want. Note that if the subscription price has changed since you last subscribed, you will be charged the new price.
Yes, but not directly. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period, unless canceled. If you only want to subscribe for 1 period, you can cancel your subscription immediately after subscribing. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the period.
Your trial starts when you subscribe to a subscription that includes a trial. You will not be charged until the end of the trial period. You can cancel your subscription at any time during the trial period to avoid being charged. See your Billing page to manage subscriptions.
Although it might look like the re-activation was successful on the billing portal, it's possible that an automatic trigger on our servers re-canceled the subscription (almost instantly). More specifically, this can happen if:
- Your account is flagged for deletion.
- Your account is banned.
- The plan was discontinued, in which case your subscription was automatically canceled without any action from you.
During the early stages of this project, we've decided not to sell yearly subscriptions to keep things within expectations. This is mostly to protect your interests in case the project doesn't go as planned and shuts down earlier than expected. We don't want you to pay for a year only to have the servers go down within 6 months of your purchase. If Survivor's Cove's future looks promising, we may consider offering yearly subscriptions.
